REBORN RUNAWAY: a TWELFTH NIGHT Remix

Share

After a heated argument with her twin brother Sebastian drives her from home, Viola reinvents herself at Illyria College – as male-presenting “Cesario.”  With this new identity, Cesario navigates a “bro” podcaster circle, outspoken feminist poets, an underground gambling scene, and more. Meanwhile, Sebastian finds unexpected refuge with Antonio and the undocumented community he fiercely protects. As their separate journeys unfold, both twins discover far more than they bargained for in a tangled web of love, identity, and self-discovery.
Timely, hilarious, and deeply heartfelt, this bold remix of Shakespeare’s gender-bending romantic comedy, Twelfth Night, brings a modern and true New York energy, brought to life for the professional stage by the high school students who make up Epic’s Teen CityWide REMIX Ensemble.
