ENEMIES is a lively modern mash-up of Ibsen’s classic play AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, and today’s politics. Through this immersive, trilingual professional production, ENEMIES tackles themes of climate change, immigration, corporate ethics, and gender bias. Here’s a quick synopsis:

Under Penelope Stockmann’s leadership, Kirsten Springs Inc. has grown from a boutique Michigan skin care company into an international brand.  But when their new “Lifestyle Line” causes rashes, Penelope turns to her family for support. Her sister, Tasha, a celebrity doctor, is called in to rehabilitate the company’s image, while Tasha’s child, Petra, a geochemist, is tasked to refine the process by which the company’s “miracle mineral” is infused into their products.  As problems mount, family loyalties, scientific ethics, and corporate values come into conflict. In a world where our technology and our politics strive to divide us, how do you know if your closest family are your allies, or your enemies?
