THE PEOPLE BEFORE THE PARK | 4:30pm
August 7 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
by Keith Josef Adkins
“Who decides which communities must sacrifice ‘for the good of the community’?”
A new play based on the true story of Seneca Village, a community of free black property owners that was destroyed in 1857 for the construction of Central Park.
Reservations: Two Ways to Get a Seat
1) Make a reservation online ($10 Convenience Fee): If you’d like to guarantee a seat up until 5 minutes before the reading begins, you can make a reservation online for a convenience fee of $10 per seat. With this option, you will be able to enter the room and pick your seat approximately 30 minutes before the reading begins.
2) First come, first served (Free): We will be holding in reserve a significant number of free seats. To access those seats, you must provide your contact information at the Pace University lobby. We will start a sign-up list for these seats approximately 1 hour before the reading begins. Seating begins 10 minutes prior to showtime.
Why This Policy? Based on the ‘Radical Hospitality’ model developed by Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis, this policy allows us to accommodate a range of needs. Sometimes you need a guaranteed seat to make time in your busy schedule. Sometimes you need to save $10. Whatever your situation, we want to make sure you can fully enjoy your Epic experience.
