THE WORLD OF TEACHING ARTISTS
From Baton Rouge to Ethiopia
This spring, Epic artists collaborated with Katrina evacuees currently residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to create a theatre piece about their lives. At the same time, Epic sponsored the Ethiopian Orphanage Theatre Project, a program conceived by Dr. Jane Aronson, involving a team of four artists -- including Associate, Lisa Rothe -- working with 40 HIV+ children, ranging from 5-14 in age. Artists from these two unique residencies will be shared their experiences as part of this special event.
